The Tesseract OCR engine (about 15MB) downloads once and is cached by your browser. First use takes longer for the initial download. Subsequent invoice scans are much faster.

Use high-resolution invoice images with good contrast. Crop to just the invoice area. Ensure text is horizontal and readable. Avoid skewed or rotated images. Standard invoice layouts work better than custom designs.
